The History of Knowone
Knowone were formed post GCSE examination taking of 2002. Tom and Joe had previously been performing in TheSmooths with Grant McHaggis.

TheSmooths:

TheSmooths were the all punk rock cover band of 2001/2002. After playing in all four gigs they split. They played such greats as "Dammit", "All Apologies", "Monkey Wrench", "Hitchin a ride", and other classics. Sadly Grant died in a horrific accident involving Tom, bad jokes, arrogance and a three and a half foot wrench in his ass. WHat were Tom and Joe gonna do now?

What Tom and Joe did:

After the disasterous split in mid March of 2002, Tom and Joe started looking for new members of a totally new non-sucky band. Through Joes girlfriend, of the same name, he associated with Dave. Dave was a bass player. After spending some time together Joe realised Dave was what was missing from the band. But could he sing?

Daves Singing:

Dave could indeed sing, but found great diffucultly in playing harsh bass lines and singing at the same time. Dave however knew someone who could fit the part. He was called Dom.

Dom:

Dom was sexy. Damn sexy. Immedietly Tom wanted him in the band. Not wanting another "episode" Joe agreed. And thus dom took to the mike. Working hard on his singing Dom is now affluent at holding the mike. Now they needed to practise.

Practise:

The first practise took place at Toms. Dom didnt attend cause hes a fanny. However Tom, Joe and Dave did and they learnt a Rage cover. Now they were getting somewhere.

Somewhere:

We will tell you where they got at a later date.

Where We got
After only a few months together as a band Knowone (then Scandal) were ready for there first gig at Focus.

Focus-

On the 28th of Sptember Knowone made there first appearence as a band. And we werent too bad. We played for Peace, in the Peace for Peasents or something day.

Peace and Peasents -

Not knowing anything about peace or peasents Knowone decided to investigate. We are now all peacefull peasents. We were now ready for more.

More -

Westcliff battle of the bands and another Focus gig followed. Both good gigs with reasonable turnout. Knowone were now serious. Deadly Serious. Moreserious than you can possibly imagine. Serious.
We wanted to write.

The songs -

Knowone spent the next month or so writing. We now have nine songs. Nine good songs. Nine Damn good songs. Now more gigs were being arranged, more writing being done. What else could we do?

Else -

A recording of an EP is planned for January release date unknown. More writing, more gigging, more Knowone really.

Oh and Dom can sing now. When i say sing i mean he makes sounds in a microphone. When i say sounds, i mean howls and screams and when i say microphone i mean dave. No, seriously, Dom can sing. Now to start on Tom....

Silverskins History?
At only 16 years old, in 10 months, Silverskin prove that hard work, DIY ethics and self promotion pay off. There is no doubting the talent in their 4 young bodies but their tireless amounts of dedication have helped the emo-punkers to stand out from the rest.

A busy debut year has seen the 4 peice play a wide range of shows including support slots with some of the countries leading punk/ska and hardcore bands such as: Five Knuckle, The Filaments, The Big, The Milksnatchers and a guest slot on the Moonska/Golf records "Golfing on the moon" show in essex, with:4ft fingers, Gash, Whitmore and Mixtwitch. All of this comes without even releasing a cd.

Their tireless hard work and talent provided the reputation strong enough to be booked in some of Essex's premier venues, attracting a fanbase over nearly150 people on some occasions. Not prepared to rest on their lorals the band are looking, not only to strengthen their reputation in the Essex area but are seeking to play shows further afield. With shows already booked in Oxford and street teams already present in Leicester, Peterborough and Oxford the guys are starting to achieve this.

The future looks bright for the young upstarts with 2002 ending with a slot on the Pier pressure records christmas show and 2003 begining with the release of the highly anticipated debut ep "Five days without alcohol." The year ahead sees shows booked with Kenisis and 17 stitches and a summer tour entitled "The Silver Weevil" around the country with tfellow essex rockers Bo Weevil.
